When you get married at the place where you met, you know it is going to be a special wedding. Heath and Yurika attended college at Soka University. They wanted to create a magical moment by going back to the place where their fell in love. Such a sweet idea!
Together with their 75 guests, they started their wedding day at the gorgeous gardens, overlooking the serene Laguna Canyon. Their ceremony was so amazing. They had a traditional Buddist ceremony, which was very uplifting and lovely. I had tears in my eyes, it was so beautiful. I was definitely moved. They also had a traditional tea ceremony, where the parents of the bride and groom offer tea to the couple. It was also a very special moment to witness. All in all, a very intimate and memorable moment for all.
Heath and Yurika wanted their guests to feel comfortable, and just have a great time at their wedding. Many of their guests were also Soka Alumni, and this wedding was like a small reunion for them. Their reception which was held in a stunning courtyard (which looked like you were in Europe!), had all the fun details of boardgames, a fondue station, eating, and dancing. Everyone was having a great time, and really enjoying the day.
What a wonderful day celebrating the love of a couple who met at their wedding venue.
Congratulations to Yurika and Heath!
