Teeba and Mellad shared their wedding day with 200 guests at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach, California. Their day started with a beautiful and very heart felt ceremony performed by close family members. They had a traditional Persian ceremony, (Sofreh Aghd) which was breathtaking! Teeba and Mellad also incorporated their own personal vows which didn’t leave one dry eye in the room. (Including myself!). I am a big lover of personal vows and it gets me every-time. There was so much love in the room, it was going to burst with hearts all around!
After their “I do”s, the guests enjoyed a lovely cocktail hour featuring some traditional Persian appetizers. Yum for sure! Following, the guests headed into the ballroom for dinner and dancing. The reception space was a magical place filled with pretty pinks and ivory colors, amazing lighting, gorgeous tablescape, and lovely florals which made you take a step back. I literally did! Guests also enjoyed a grand display of fruits which was so pretty you didn’t want to eat it. I could not stop taking photos of this table!
What I love about Teeba and Mellad, is that they incorporated their favorite things into their wedding day. Being huge Game of Thrones fans, they named each table with the House names in Game of Thrones. The groom, Mellad is a huge doctor Who fan, and had a TARDIS as a cake topper. I was totally nerding out, as these are also MY favorite things and totally made me smile.
The night was filled with dancing, more dancing, and even more dancing. Persians love to dance at their weddings, (pretty much anywhere!), and I loved that they didn’t stop! The vibe was so fun and party like, just as it should be for such a spectacular event.

I just got married at the Hyatt Regency Long Beach this past weekend and I couldn’t even wait to write this review! I’m telling you guys, Niloufar is the most incredible person I have ever worked with (and I work in events)! Every step of the way from months before the wedding all the way up until the day of, she went above and beyond to make our day feel so special.
When working with vendors and venue, she was always in my corner making sure every decision that was made was exactly what my husband and I wanted. She would remind me that it was our day and that we needed to make decisions that would make us happy (which are not always the choices the vendors want). She also was available to weigh in when I didn’t really know if a decision I made would be the best decision logistically.
On the day of, her assistants were so professional and even redirected vendors away from me when they were trying to complain. One of them even said “This is your day, you don’t need to be bothered by that”, which I really appreciated because I am the type to try and fix the problem. The day of the wedding i felt like all I had to do was turn around and either her or her assistants were there to help with any request I had.
Another thing that is so great about Niloufar is that she is Persian. This was so incredibly helpful for us because we were having a Persian wedding, but I am not really a super traditional Persian bride. She knew a lot of the traditions that my husband and I were wanting to incorporate while also treating me how a bride should be treated (which is not usually the case with Persian specific wedding coordinators and planners). I felt pampered and always knew she would help me in deciding what was best for our vision.
I cannot recommend her enough. Niloufar will be there for you in every way and is so extremely organized. She is worth it, I swear!
